Seriously, it's sad that it has to come to this, but come on, people, what's wrong with you? There has to be a campaign against Groping people on public transportation?! "The move comes after a survey last year by Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer found 63 percent of women riders polled said they had been sexually harassed, while another 10 percent said they had been sexually assaulted. Most, about nine out of 10 surveyed, said they never reported the incident." according to NY1.
Isn't it bad enough we have to deal with the awful smells, crazy people shouting at us about the second coming of jesus, elbows in our face on the trains? I'm glad it's being addressed, although how affective will this campaign be? Time will tell.
Speaking of pubic transit, I am not sure if I need to take a ferry or the path to the All Points West festival in New Jersey. I feel the need to map out my route because I'm crossing state lines but really, it's not that bad, considering I've made longer commutes just to go to Brighton Beach. Very excited about seeing Radiohead. Brooding, angst-filled music. ah, yes, i love. Although, lately, I'm totally stuck on Al Green. I love how he reaches and streches his vocals when he does these yeowls.
